But.. I feel the need to share my triumph today..
I didn't get to finish what we needed to do (none of us did cause of something that was going on in the beginning)
Alright you Cisco peoples (if any of you happen to read this..) If you can tell me what I was trying to do.. I'll give you a cookie!

Date: 2004-03-23 12:42 pm (UTC)Thing is.. Up until today I would just pretty much putz around in the labs we had to do with the routers and what have you. Nothing would really grab at me and my brain would be like, "Dammit, Mommy! Cisco is being mean to me, and is making me hurt!", and lord knows I couldn't tell you whether I was working with the right router or switch or what..
Then today.. I dunno. stuff just kinda 'clicked', and I found the pattern(s). I'm still not entirely sure about everything yet (great.. she says this 2 days before the midterm *grin*), but at least now I have a purpose! I know (pretty much) what I'm doing! *bounce*. Oy. I don't even think I've had this much fun with Novell or even Linux *grin*.
I can't wait til the day I'm all grown up and a full~fledged geek! *wiggle*

What.. You tryin' ta say we women can't be technical..? Hmm? *poke*
Though.. then again.. I am bi.. Maybe there's some strange testosterone/technical correlation type thing (I have more testosterone in my system than what I was told was deemed 'normal' in a female ~ long story)..
Hrm.. I think I need to go ponder this some..
I'm still gonna.. um.. I don't know.. pounce you and pretend to rough you up a lil maybe over that first comment..? Hrmm..

Date: 2004-03-23 11:37 am (UTC)Never played with Cisco stuff myself, we had 3com stuff at work when I got to play with stuff like that. Don't get to go near them these days though :( But at least I get to break our web servers instead ;)

Date: 2004-03-23 12:57 pm (UTC)I don't get many chances to play with lots of toys outside of school just yet.. And many things still make me go "Ooooh!! What does that button do?" or, "Um..? What was I supposed to type at this prompt again..? BECN what??" (among other 'queries' *grin*).. But at least I'm able to either figure stuff out on my own or even better.. Know where to go or exactly what question to ask (and whom to ask) when I need to find out..
Teehee, sometimes, breaking stuff can be quite.. fun! Especially when they hear a woman (*stare/poke
*wiggle*!
