Welp... There goes the rest of my melted brain oozing out through my ears..

At the beginning of the exam, my brain was still its usually happy~go~lucky self.. All skipping along and humming giddily..

By question 5 my brain was wondering how it got to this fork in the road.. But it bravely trudged on..

By question 10 it was just standing there on the root bridge doing it's best imitation of the Silent Scream..

By question 19 it had gone way way beyond the screaming stage.. More like silent shock..

By question 27 it pretty much was in a state of quivering.. I don't know.. But dammit.. it was quivering..

By question 35 it tried putting up a bit of a valiant struggle.. Gotta give it credit..

Then the subnetting questions came along with their Subnetting~Bats~of~Death(tm) and promptly beat the crap out of my poor brain.. I'd describe in further detail what happened, but believe me.. you don't want to experience this.. And I was just fully getting the hang of subnetting too.. Or so I thought..

By the end of the exam.. my brain just gave up and that's what explains that puddle of grey fleshy mass on the floor around my chair..

Okay.. so the exam wasn't that bad.. But I can't seem to convince my brain otherwise.. It's still there on the floor whimpering and blubbering to itself..

Though I shudder to look at everyone else.. I was the second one done (don't ask) and everyone else has these befuddled expressions of "WTF?? Where did that mack truck that ran over me like 5 times come from?"

I didn't think the exam was that hard (and that's what's scaring me).. But I know how I am.. If they don't hurry up and make more of this content hands~on and fast, I'm almost guaranteed to fail my first class in this school. I'm hands~on dammit! The main way I learn is by doing.. These books are only going to help me reinforce but so much! *whinebitchmoan* I can read the books over and over and take notes til Jesus returns (meh).. But if I don't have the opportunity to actually work on it and find my patterns and rhythms, it all goes to... well.. you get the idea..

And if I lose my 4.0 I think I'm going to just curl up and die... I've never had a 4.0 before, much less held it over the course of a few semesters.. I've learned it's a damn good feeling..

Yeah, so I'm bitching and whining and moaning and all out fussing like a spoiled brat. But you know what? I'm gonna do it dammit. I don't get these chances very often.. You don't like it? Too damn bad.. Move on if ya don't wanna hear it.. Or even better.. Tell me to hush.. *smiles sweetly* I dare you.. Just be mindful of where you are in proximity to me and the fact I'm quite thirsty for blood today..

Ugh.. I can't wait til Friday.. I'm going to need a drink (or 8) and a few other.. erm.. no.. best not to.. well.. It is almost April.. *sighs*

Dammit. I'm actually liking Cisco.. I can't fail this class..

I just can't.

Oh! You aren't intruding at all =). *blush* my website isn't much at the moment.. And won't be much more til after I get settled in with the move and stuff. But anyway..

I play on Rodcet Nife.. =) I'm Zorathenne on there (big surprise *grin*)
I haven't played in a while though because of school and stuff, but I still pop on to huggle my guildies and such and chat for a bit. *wiggle*

aha! I don't play much- found out i have a bun in the oven, which explained my lack of energy. I still manage to log on for time raids and such though. :)

If you want- there are a couple good communities. I can't seem to link them, but their names are EQ and Everquest. :) Its mostly noobs and such, but some good, and funny stuff is posted on occasion.

Ooo a little one! =) congrats!

*grin* My guild is barely even able to make it past PoJ.. We're more a social guild than raid. But don't get me started on that road hehe..

To know my guild.. is to love my guild.. or something like that.. meh.
I'll be sure to check out the communities as soon as I get home from class. We usually escape here about 1pm but we're done a bit early thanks to the Cisco Midterm from Hell.. Some have already left, and I prolly should too as I have an hour commute hehe.. But I'll chill for a tad bit longer. =)

I'd love to see that test.
Being an E-commerce major, I wasn't allowed to take Cisco routers, no matter how much I begged and pleaded.
The guy who taught my Network + class was going to be teaching cisco the following quarter. He drove the other students to distraction because his IQ is in the 170 range and he makes these amazing leaps from point A to point J, skipping the 8 intermediary steps of logic. Myself and one other student were the only ones who kept up. It was load of fun.
Of course he also brought in a few routers, and had us hook the room up through them. We only got as far as routing tables, but it was a rousing good time.

As for the 4.0 -- ditto for me. I think I held onto mine for...4 quarters. Maybe 5.
Then I got a B in.. get this..Intro to Mac. :O
I aced all of the tests, and did all of the homework, but I missed the first two classes due to extenuating circumstances, and one of them was apparently a field trip that counted for quite a bit.
Blech.
Pissed me off something fierce.
I've gotten a few more since then, usually in classes like Intro to Illustrator, which is almost entirely useless for E-Commerce. Hello, that's for the graphic design department. wtf.
Of course they also teach ColdFusion as the ONLY dynamic language.
*shakes head*
Sorry to hear that your test sucked though.
I've had a few like that as well.
Makes you just want to go home and stare at the paint.

Grades are overrated. Your GPA is only looked at seriously as an indicator of your performance in your first job after graduation. After that, they could care less.

I don't even know my GPA in grad school :)
