May I just say...
Mar. 6th, 2004 04:06 pm...That I love to cook...
All of the rest of the prepping is done.. Now to just tidy up and get changed.. As much as I mentioned to not dress up and stuff, I'm not about to be serving dinner in a t~shirt and flannel pants..
Today in itself has been a pretty damn good day. Was up at 8am as Mom had a 2nd phone date with a very nice man from Homebanc to go over and confirm things with her loan application. He was to call at 9am and that man made punctual look late. Phone rang like 9am on the dot. He was able to give mom a pretty darn good rate.. the lowest compared to the other banks who have been calling (I swear, this apartment for the past few days has been like that Lending Tree commercial ~ I can count no less than a good 10 or so banks who have been calling to offer Mom loans). I think she's getting like 5.4%. The other banks were offering 6+%. Granted all of the rates were way low compared to the rates back in NY, but Mom wasn't going any higher than 5.. Well yeah 5.4 is higher than 5.. but it ain't 6..
Ahh.. 3:45.. everything going pretty on schedule.. I hate rushing.. Especially cooking.. But I have a shower to take and some last minute cleaning to do.. And other little things..
I just so love to cook..
Anyone else coming over for dinner..? I have not a problem with cooking a few more things..
Hrm.. should I put on water for tea or brew some coffee..?
Maybe I'll do both..
Oooh.. I <3 this song immensly.. I'm such a Tears for Fears fan.. Been fiending them all day. I remember back when I was like 9 or so and Everybody Wants to Rule the World was out.. Back during summer camp that song was in my head like everday..
Yeah yeah yeah I know.. I'm showing my age.. whateva. Ya'll still wuv me.. *grin*
*sigh* Ahhh.. memories..
Anyway.. Time to finish up.. Got potatoes to bake and mushrooms to stuff.. =)
